First batch of 3D printed grips now available!

After several iterations (see the photo), the first (small) batch of 3D printed grips is finally available! Find them on the product page and feel free to contact me about questions related to them!

Please note, as production is still ongoing, the current wait time may be up to 1 week in work days! Sorry about that. I try to make the grips available as soon as possible. The situation should improve in the future!

The image shows, from left to right, several iterations that the product has gone through, from the first conception and rough prototype, to cutting open parts to better understand the fit, to the current model.

CAD files now available as digital download!

I have now assembled the latest version of the grip files into a digital download for people who want to 3D print and/or modify their own grip! Available on the products page.

Have fun with them and feel free to contact me if you have any feedback!

(Remember, this is not a physical product — if you buy the digital download, you will not get a real grip in the mail! 😉 Wait for the physical grip to be in stock please.)

Current status

Today I set up this website. Still in the process of configuring everything.

Meanwhile, I am waiting for the producer to produce a prototype with increased stability (version 2.5). I have recently added some internal ribs that should reduce the flex of the grip when using heavy lenses. In fact, you should not experience any significant deformation at all. Current time estimate for that prototype is Friday, April 20th.

On the picture you can see version 1 and version 2.2. Many changes have been made since then, including improved fit & finish!

The digital version of the grip that you can download and 3D print yourself should be online soon.

I’ll make another blog post once I got news!
